The new Longitude Prize aims to do what medicine has long struggled with: harness AI and global collaboration to unlock life-saving treatments for one of the most devastating diseases. Roger Highfield, Science Director and Longitude Committee member, reports.

The first behind-the-scenes public tours at the Science and Innovation Park began today, Friday 11 October, allowing visitors to get up close to the Science Museum Group’s world-class collection of objects from science, technology, engineering, and medicine.

Roger Highfield discusses his favourite objects from Stephen Hawking’s office, the subject of his new book: Stephen Hawking: Genius at Work.
